Irrigation Program — Irrigation Development Program ### 📋 Eligible Entities - Agricultural operations and farms with irrigable land parcels - Private landowners engaged in agricultural production - Agricultural cooperatives and partnerships - Entities must have secure control or ownership of the land requiring irrigation infrastructure ### 💰 Funding Details - Grant Amount: Up to $1,675 per irrigable acre - Maximum Grant: $500,000 per applicant - Cost-Share Ratio: Grant covers 67% of eligible project costs - Applicant Contribution: 33% cost-share required from applicant - Repayability: Non-repayable grant (no loan component) ### 🛠️ Approved Expenses - Water supply infrastructure to the edge of irrigable land parcels - Water delivery systems and piping - Intake structures and water access points - Infrastructure required to create a secure water supply for irrigation purposes - Engineering and design costs related to approved infrastructure ### ⚠️ Conditions & Milestones - Project scope limited to water supply infrastructure extending to the edge of irrigable land (not on-farm irrigation systems beyond this point) - Applicant must demonstrate 33% cost-share capability before funding approval - Grant capped at $500,000 maximum per applicant regardless of acreage - Irrigable acres must be clearly defined and verified on the property - Compliance with applicable water management and agricultural regulations required - Project must align with secure water supply objectives for agricultural production
