📋 Eligible Entities - Alberta-based businesses registered and operating in the province - Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with primary operations in Alberta - Sole proprietors with active business registration - Partnerships operating as registered Alberta businesses - Corporations incorporated in Alberta or federally and operating in Alberta - Businesses must be in good standing with provincial regulations ### 💰 Funding Details - Grant Amount: $1,000 to $15,000 per fiscal year - Reimbursement Rate: Up to 75% of eligible expenses - Funding Type: Non-repayable grant (reimbursement-based) - Cost-Sharing Requirement: Applicant must cover minimum 25% of eligible expenses - Frequency: Annual allocation available ### 🛠️ Approved Expenses - International airfare for business representatives - Accommodation costs while conducting export activities - Trade show and exhibition participation fees - International business travel meals and ground transportation - Export-related market research and consultation services - Trade mission participation costs - Promotional materials for export markets - International business development activities - Other goods and services directly related to export market expansion ### ⚠️ Conditions & Milestones - Funds are distributed on a reimbursement basis (expenses must be incurred first) - Applicants must submit receipts and documentation for all claimed expenses - Activities must demonstrate direct link to export expansion or market development - Funding year runs on a fiscal year basis (July 1 to June 30 or calendar year, as per program guidelines) - Annual application required to access funds - Businesses must maintain export activity records and reporting documentation - Eligible expenses must be incurred within the program year to qualify for reimbursement - Grant cannot be combined with certain other provincial export programs (verify overlap restrictions) - Approval is subject to available program budget and eligibility verification
